The NFL and the Jacksonville Jaguars have finally signed the deal with Wembley. There has been so much speculation on who might link their games with London, At first, it was Arizona Cardinals then, St Louis Rams, but after their recent withdrawal, it left the Jacksonville Jaguars to play one home game a season for the next four years at Wembley, the NFL’s adopted home-away-from-home.

With the NFL keen to internationalise their sports product the 4-year deal from 2013, will certainly help Jacksonville grown their fan base and give London, UK & NFL Europe fans a point of purchase.

Jaguars’ owner Shad Khan quoted, “This is a priceless opportunity to share the business, tourism and lifestyle story of Jacksonville with international audiences, and I know it will give the Jaguars a unique and powerful identity within the league and beyond.”

The St Louis Rams play the New England Patriots this October at Wembley, and then concentrate on the rebuild of their sports arena, rather than, travel to London, once a year… Not a Visionary Bunch.

Question: Who owns the St Louis Rams?

Answer: Stan Kroenke

(Also majority shareholder at Arsenal Football Club, London)

Kroenke is fighting to keep the Rams franchise in St Louis, but LA & London are both hunting for a more permanent resident.
